Fish, meat and sausage processing
Overview
In the processing of sausage, fish and meat products, bearing components used in slicing machines or in conveyor technology, for example, are confronted with high demands resulting from the hygiene requirements in food technology and increasing expectations of the performance of the systems. Absolute freedom from lubrication and maintenance, a long service life in continuous operation, chemical resistance and low moisture absorption are just a few examples of the high industry standards.
Products used and application examples
Using the example of a cutting machine with a high-speed discarding system from Treif Maschinenbau GmbH, we show below the central sections of such systems and the use of our polymer storage technology in the work processes. Above all, the following stations should be mentioned here:

Slicing line
In this slicing line for sausage, ham and cheese, FDA-compliant e-chain® helps to comply with strict safety and hygiene requirements.

In this machine, the sausages are first fixed inside, then spread and finally separated at the bottom.

Meat roller
This production machine flattens meat slices like a flounder. Previously used susceptible needle bearings were replaced by hygienic and robust iglidur® plain bearings.

Robot gripper
With up to six fingers and in some cases over 100 joints, the gripper is used for packaging sausage and cheese, among other things. iglidur® G bearings ensure a permanently smooth movement.
