Lightweight and lubrication-free motion plastics for motorcycles & scooters

Lubrication-free, save weight and increase service life

Are you looking for wear-resistant components for motorcycles, motor scooters or other scooters? Do you want to replace metal sliding bearings and rolling bearings and therefore benefit from better quality and potential for improved productivity? igus offers a great selection of lubrication-free and maintenance-free polymer bearings that can meet these requirements precisely and are characterised by high load capacity and a long service life. In many cases, performance can be improved by a factor of up to 10 in comparison to other, metal types of bearing. iglidur plain bearings are deployed, for example, in suspension forks, brakes, throttle valves and at other places on motorcycles and motor scooters.

New from April 2020

Here, motion plastics are already being used successfully

Ride safely despite the dirt, salt and humidity

iglidur plastic bearings are deployed in rear suspensions. They are lubrication-free and resistant to dirt, salt and humidity and insensitive to edge loads.

Front fork

Corrosion-resistant and insensitive to torsional loading

Lubrication and maintenance-free iglidur W300 plain bearings were used in front forks. They are maintenance-free and have a service life of more than three years, which means lower costs overall.

Electric scooters

iglidur G and M250 plain bearings are used in the rear wheel steering.
